The Sniper

#IrishFilm: John McClafferty’s The Sniper shoots its way online

New Irish/Spanish short film The Sniper is hoping to make a splash at European film festivals this summer.

The film comes from Irish-born Madrid-based actor/writer/director/producer John McClafferty, and tells a story about betrayal and acts of God.

McClafferty, who has had several TV and film roles, including a part in TVE’s Las Reinas which aired in the UK and Spain this year, stars alongside Javi Romel Isaac.

I just love acting and I love history. I love being part of a creative process with the goal of entertaining and moving people. That is why I wrote The Sniper and I am looking forward to showing my short film this season across Europe.
John McClafferty

The Sniper was filmed in Spain and Ireland, with Paul Heart and Jacob Pirogovsky as DoPs. The film was edited by Eddy Balardi, with Sound post-production at Rafinci Studios.
