Irish Short: Personal Development to screen on United Airlines flights

The Bord Scannán na hÉireann/the Irish Film Board (IFB) funded short film Personal Development can now be seen on United Airlines flights after securing a deal with the Tribeca Film Festival.

Personal Development will screen as part of the Tribeca Presents program after screening in Official Selection at the prestigious festival earlier this year. The film is available to view on all video-equipped United flights (close to 700 aircraft) throughout the month of November.

In recent weeks the short has screened at the CEE in Vienna, the Archipelago in Rome, The Great Lakes Festival in Michigan, The San Francisco Irish Film Festival, and The Washington West Festival in the US. It also won the Best Irish Short award at the Dublin International Short Film and Music Festival in October.

Directed by Tom Sullivan (Asal, Mechanic), Personal Development follows Fintan, whose already fragile relationship with his youngest daughter is put to the test with the arrival of some unexpected news. Personal Development was written by Muirinn Lane Kelley and produced by Alan Keane for Hot Drop Films. The short stars David Murray (Amber, The Guarantee) and Kathleen Breathnach.

Personal Development received funding from Bord Scannán na hÉireann/the Irish Film Board.
