Industry: IFB announces details Frameworks Short Film Scheme
[column_item]The deadline for the Irish Film Board short animation scheme¬†Frameworks,¬†now in its 20th edition,¬†has been announced. Applications will be accepted until¬†1pm Wednesday, 15th April 2015.
Frameworks¬†is an established scheme for the making of animated short films which has been incredibly successful in stimulating ground-breaking new work from Irish animators. Projects selected for funding will combine creative exploration with an ability to appeal to a broad audience.
Projects produced under the Frameworks scheme have been hugely successful in attracting both local and critical acclaim. ¬†Recent hightlights include¬†Somewhere Down the Line, directed by Julien Regnard and produced by Jonathan Clarke which picked up the best Animated Film award at this year’s Clermont Ferrand Short Film Festival.¬†CODA,¬†directed by Alan Holly and produced by Ciaran Deeney has seen worldwide success picking up a host of awards at international festivals beginning in SXSW and was long listed for the 2015 Academy Awards¬Æ.¬†This Missing Scarf,¬†directed by Eoin Duffy and produced by Eoin Duffy also saw itself long listed for the 2014 Academy Awards¬Æ along with gathering huge international recognition on the festival circuit.
The Frameworks scheme is co-funded by BS√â/IFB and RT√â.¬†Details on the parameters of the scheme, who can apply, the procedure and general rules, can be found on the¬†Irish Film Board website.[/column_item]
