#NowFunding: Aubade, a new Irish short documentary by Nathan Fagan

Now funding on IndieGoGo is Aubade, a new Irish short documentary, directed by Nathan Fagan (Fallen Bird) .

Aubade¬†is a short documentary about multi-instrumentalist singer-songwriter, Kevin Nolan. Diagnosed in his early twenties with schizo-affective disorder – which has been described as the ‘unhappy marriage of schizophrenia and bi-polar disorder‚Äô – Kevin has spent long periods of his adult life grappling with his illness. First admitted to St. Patrick‚Äôs psychiatric hospital at 19 years old, after what would later be identified as a severe ‚Äòpsychotic break‚Äô, Kevin has been in and out of psychiatric hospitals for much of his adult life. In spite of these challenges, however, Kevin has forged a life for himself as an accomplished artist and singer-songwriter.

The film is directed by Fagan and produced by Ben Murphy and Aoife Kelly. Fagan’s previous short documentary, Fallen Bird, won the Audience Award for Best Short Documentary at the 2015 Irish Film Institute (IFI) Documentary Festival. It subsequently screened at numerous national and international festivals.

The filmmakers are asking for any and all support from the general public  to help raise funds for its completion. You can find out more about Aubade and donate to the campaign on IndieGoGo.
