#InDevelopment: Sohaila Lindheim’s debut short Hairpin wraps in Limerick

Writer, director, producer, and actor Sohaila Lindheim has just wrapped principal photography in Limerick on her debut short film, Hairpin.

The film is a romantic drama that tells the story of a young couple in love. Hayley and Nick appear to be the perfect pair. However, when one false move immediately changes their life, things will never be the same again.

The film takes its title from the fact that life can ‘turn on a hairpin’. Hairpin stars Sam Monaghan (Darkness on the Edge of Town, Fading Away), Graeme Coughlan (Apple and Peaches, Contact) and Lindheim herself (Maeve and the Moon, Red Room, Class A). Crew includes director of photography Niall Coley from Limerick, and assistant director Mikey Andreasson from Dublin.

Hairpin was filmed over two days in Limerick, and now enters the post-production phase. Lindheim intends to submit it to a number of domestic and international film festivals following a small screening in Limerick.
