Irish short film The Weather Report plays its 50th film festival today (June 18th) when it screens at UNCIPAR International Short Film Festival in Argentina.

Starring Marie Ruane and Edward MacLiam, the film tells the story of a lighthouse keeper and his wife who have there quiet routine interrupted by a phone call.

The film directed by Paul Murphy and produced by Deirdre de Grae at Two For Joy productions received its first selection for the Belfast Film Festival in April 2014 and has since showed at festivals in 17 countries.

Highlights for Murphy and DeGrae were Aesthetica Short Film Festival (UK), DC Shorts (USA) and winning the Directors choice award at the Irish Film Festival Boston in 2015 (pictured above).The Weather Report was supported under the Galway Film Centre/RTÉ short film scheme.
