John Sheridan and Paul Valentine’s short film JFK: The Badgeman Conspiracy is heading west with appearances at the Kerry Film Festival and the Richard Harris International Film Festival in Limerick.

The film follows an ageing CIA assassin who holds his former shadowy employers to ransom with classified documents in his possession exposing the death plot and public execution of JFK.

The film stars Nick Dunning (Quirke, The Tudors, Alexander, In America), Clelia Murphy (Fair City), Paul Ronan (The Devil’s Own, How I Live Now), Tommy O’Neill, Mark Tankersly, Susan Walsh, Colin Walsh, Margaret Rowe and introduces Jack Valentine. It is written by Sheridan and produced by  Lucina Russell and Darren Mahon for Dream Island Films Production.

Funding for the film came from Kildare County Council’s Short Grass scheme, with further funding from private investors.

The film was shot on location in Leixlip Manor Hotel, St. Patrick’s College, Maynooth University, St Mary’s Church of Ireland, Leixlip and Weston Airport in February 2015. Uniquely it uses original Zupruder footage of the JFK assassination.
