The IFI has launched a new occasional series of dedicated Irish shorts programmes. The first is on Tuesday April 28th with a host of contemporary Irish short animation.
In recent years Irish animated shorts have garnered significant international acclaim. The most recent recipient of international acclaim is Alan Holly’s Coda, which won at the 17th Mecal, the International Short and Animation Film Festival of Barcelona, taking the Great Animation Award for the Best Short Film from the Animation Section. Elsewhere Julien Regnard‚Äôs success with Somewhere Down the Line winner of Best Animation award at Clermont-Ferrand.
This programme includes BAFTA and IFTA nominated directors and some of the leading lights of contemporary Irish animation. For more infor and to book tickets go to the IFI website.
